Green Matters heading.jpg

Ever thought, without a healthy earth how shall we live?

I have been hugely honoured to be elected to serve as a Green Party City Councillor for the centre of Exeter, St David's ward, where I live. It is an immense privilege to represent the residents of this great city and to help to build a greener, fairer Exeter.

To this end it is well worth asking all the difficult questions at endless committee meetings, wading  through digital forests of papers in preparation, and sitting through countless briefings to make a difference.

Proud to have served as Exeter’s first Deputy Lord Mayor from the Green Party. Presided over the state opening of Wilko’s among other honours!

If you have a local issue I can help with or if you would like to chat about the state of world in general, or Exeter in particular, please do get in touch. Having grown up in London and been to University in Cambridge and Oxford (in that order) I couldn’t be happier to have moved to Exeter 10 years ago and adore this city and the West Country. Anything I can do to make life even better here I want to know about it!

Making Exeter greener and fairer. I serve on Exeter’s Harbour Board, the Customer Focus Scrutiny Committee, and am a trustee of the Exeter Canal and Quay Trust.

Poo – no thank you!

Is your local river swimmable? If not why not? Passionate about the state of our rivers and seas I work with Friends of the River Exe – we organise a Citizen Science testing programme to build up a better picture of the quality of the water in the Exe. Is it clean enough to swim in? The surprising answer is that – yes! It mostly is. I swim in the Exe and the Exeter canal. Come and join me – the water’s lovely, usually.
